Watermelon Agua Fresca

June 16, 2015 by Dangerously-Delicious.com

Watermelon Agua Fresca is a refreshing nonalcoholic beverage that can be made with just 4 ingredients. Watermelon makes the drink sweet while fresh lime juice gives it a hint of tang. Add some festive straws, blueberries and a sugar-coated glass rim for the perfect patriotic drink to serve on Fourth of July. This is a mixed beverage everyone can enjoy!

Watermelon Agua Fresca with BlueberriesFourth of July is right around the corner. What will you be doing to celebrate? We have yet to confirm our plans. There really are so many options here in South Florida. The beach is always fun, local parks, Disney World, friend’s house or we could just stay home and do our own thing. I’d have to say the best Fourth of July I ever experienced was in St Augustine, FL. It’s the oldest city in the United States and has so much history. There is an old fort you can tour and a jail, a lighthouse to climb and ghost tours if you dare. Also, the white sandy beaches are amazing, the people are kind, the streets are tree-lined with huge canopies and the houses are rustic and just beautiful. It has a small town feeling which I love. There is a huge bridge in St Augustine the city closes down every year. Everyone gathers there to watch the fireworks over the water. (Even the bridge is pretty) I just remember feeling truly uplifted and grateful to live in such a wonderful country as I watched those fireworks. Then again, maybe it was just the cute guy that I was with… Ha! Whatever it was, I have fond memories of that city and am so excited to actually go back with my own family this Summer and create even better memories with my husband and children. I can’t wait to experience it all over again with them!
