If loading cookie dough with morsels of white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate and milk chocolate wasn’t enough, then adding oatmeal and pecans will definitely keep your taste buds happy. This is no wimpy chocolate chip cookie- it’s hearty, soft and chewy with lots of texture your mouth will enjoy.
My good friend Christina made these cookies for my family and I. Actually, not only did she make these cookies, but she also made us a whole dinner! The day I came home from having our 4th child, Christina and her family came over and made us an authentic Bolivian meal we absolutely love! My whole family LOVES this woman’s cooking, but not as much as we love her!! Now all you moms with 1 or 2 kids are thinking… I wouldn’t want someone cooking in my kitchen the day I came home from the hospital… right? After you have so many kids, you welcome company sooner, adapt to exhaustion quicker and just look forward to involving your newborn into the daily routine and really don’t sweat the small stuff. You don’t care that you are tired, have sore nipples, a throbbing perineum or flabby tummy. Life goes on. No one that matters is judging you, you just had a baby!! The more kids you have (now I have 5) the quicker you HAVE TO bounce back because your older ones want and need their mommy too. Right? Right.
These cookies are so chunky and delicious. They really are the perfect cookie to bring to a constantly hungry, frequently eating new mom. They satisfy your sweet tooth without being too rich. And of course they go hand in hand with a big glass of ice cold milk (not your own).
