Turn a family favorite recipe into a fun family memory by presenting your spaghetti in the form of a nest with speckled eggs! These adorable Spaghetti Nests will light up those little faces and create a lasting memory that they’ll fondly look back on. Spaghetti night will never look the same again!
My oldest daughter, Haylie, took a Master Chef cooking class at the Y this past summer. She was SO excited for the class because she firmly believed that Chef Gordon Ramsey was going to be teaching the class. Unfortunately, he was not the instructor, but she did come out of the class with a few tricks up her sleeve. She came home one night and made these fun spaghetti nests for us and my kids went bonkers over them! They are so super cute and really look like a nest! We used fresh basil to sprinkle around the pasta, but you could also used fresh spinach or fresh parsley.
Make a well in the middle of your nest and spoon your sauce inside. Top with buffalo mozzarella balls or these marinated cheese balls I bought from Costco. They look like speckled eggs and are too cute as nest eggs. Be creative and make your own versions at home! I also thought it would be cute to mix in some spinach or vegetable spaghetti to give the nest some color and add a little flare. Your kids are not going want plain spaghetti ever again! Trust me, they’ll remember this version forever!
