Peanut Butter Banana Bites with Cinnamon and Honey

January 23, 2016 by Dangerously-Delicious.com

Want a snack that’s fast, delicious AND healthy? Whip up these Peanut Butter Banana Bites with Cinnamon and Honey!! It’s a wholesome, filling, gluten-free snack with all natural ingredients that you can feel good about eating and serve to your family. We’re kinda crazy about this combo at our house that my kids even ask for it as a their dessert. It’s music to my ears!

Peanutbutter Banana Bites with Cinnamon and Honey

My friend Lily gave me the idea for these delicious little bites. We presented a healthy-eating class at church one night where she had an example of this very combo. Peanut butter and bananas is okay in my book, but adding honey, cinnamon and shredded coconut on top is AMAZING!! Like the kind of amazing where you can’t stop eating it amazing. One day after my kids got out of school I got all the ingredients out and started whipping up this snack… my boys just stood there and watched, asking what I was making? After I finished, I just took the plate to the table and started eating. They both had a look of pure confusion and disappointment since I didn’t offer to share. When I turned around and exclaimed, “I’m just kidding, come try some!” they couldn’t run over to me fast enough. The plate was licked clean in a matter of seconds. That night my 6-year old, Noah, asked if he could have the banana snack as his dessert, but didn’t want to share! He got his wish and ever since that day, one of my 5 little monkeys asks to have this for breakfast, snack or dessert. They’re totally in love and quite frankly, so am I!

Peanutbutter Banana Bites w- Cinnamon and Honey

These banana bites are a super cute way to serve a bunch of little mouths if you’re having a party or kids over after school, but let’s be real… I don’t have the time or patience to pipe peanut butter on top of bananas every time I make these. It looks more like this picture ↓ when I make them. Peanut butter slathered on top of large sliced bananas, a drizzle of honey with cinnamon and coconut poured sprinkled on top. Yeah, that’s more like it. I actually use organic peanut butter since it doesn’t have the added sugar. The sweetness from the honey balances it out perfectly. I used the JIF for picture purposes 😉

This is my 2-year old daughter, Mia. She’s the cherry on top, icing on the cake, surprise baby #5, sweet as sugar little girl that we ALL adore. And these are the MANY ways she eats her peanut butter bananas…

These are seriously the best snack ever! PB and banana is great together, but even better with coconut and honey!
