Serve up a healthy snack or quick breakfast with these No-Bake Peanut Butter Energy Bites. They seriously taste like raw cookie dough! This recipe is kid friendly, gluten free and packed with protein and fiber to keep you full.
The first time I made these bites my kids fell in love, all 5 of them. Perhaps it was the energy factor these bites give, but my oldest daughter took it upon herself to even create a song and dance about how much she loves these little bites. It included a lot of cheer-like arm movements, pelvic thrusts, awkward foot choreography, booty shaking, laughing and monkey-like dance moves that she must have ALL learned from her… daddy!
Watching my 9-year old daughter “dance” took me back to our first date where we went dancing on a party boat in Ft Lauderdale’s intercoastal… cuuuuuz he told me he could dance! I had hope that this cute white-boy had moves. I quickly learned that he had moves, but NOT dance moves! He quickly revealed other qualities that he possessed that made me forgive him for telling such a tall tale. Lol Coming from a life full of dance lessons, competitions, performances and just a pure love for feeling music- it was our biggest battle when we first got married to separate myself from dance. It was a sacrifice. Still is… 14 years of marriage later, 5 kids, a career, house, bills, church responsibilities, room mom duties, laundry and a blog. I still want to dance. It’s still in there. Bottled up. Not sure that desire will ever go away. Until then, I’ll try to teach my kids how to properly move their body to music in a non monkey-like fashion and hope for success! 😉 Lol
