If you love apple pie, but want a faster version that is just as warm and comforting as the real thing then this recipe is for you! Grab yourself some cinnamon pita chips and indulge in this delightfully sweet apple goodness.
Living in South Florida, we are pretty much hot all year round. Our Fall weather generally consists of some breezy 70 degree mornings that will warm up to the 80’s by noon. I can distinctly remember going to school as a young child all bundled up because it was going to be “cold”, only to be stripped of my jacket and sweating by recess. Things haven’t changed. My Floridian kids think 60 degree weather is freezing and wear layers and layers to school only to complain how hot it is outside when it’s time to pick them up. History repeats.
This warm apple pie dip is just as satisfying as the real deal, and it’s a much faster version. Chop up your apples, simmer with spices and serve. I simply buy Stacy’s Cinnamon Pita Chips to serve with, but you could also recreate your pancakes, waffles or french toast by pouring a little apple pie dip on top! I love adding a little Fall flavor into the kitchen. It brings such a homey feeling to the table.
Did I mention kids LOVE this recipe?
My three year old couldn’t get enough. She was definitely in her happy place with her messy face.
