This Caramel Apple Salad with Sugared Pretzels and Pecans has become one of my very favorite recipes for dessert. It’s light and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the crisp, tart apples. You’ll be making up excuses to make it again and again. It’s THAT good.
Mix together crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, brown sugar and melted butter. Spread on large baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes at 400 degrees. Allow to cool and then break into small pieces.
Beat cream cheese and caramel sauce until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Stir in diced apples and sugared pretzels.
Hint: This salad is best served right away when the pretzels are crispy and the apples are freshly chopped, so prepare it the same day you plan to serve it.
